A SPA GUIDE FOR THE BRIDE

Going to a spa is supposed to be relaxing and fun, but what isn’t is being bombarded with the types of spa treatments available. All of the different oils and scrubs can be quite confusing for a newcomer or even someone who goes to the spa frequently. When it comes to your wedding day, you want to make sure that you look and feel your Get rid of those annoying nerves and give these tips a look so that you feel your best walking down the aisle.

FACIALS

As most of us know well by now, acne and blemishes are annoying. But what some of us fail to realize is it can also be stress induced. So if you’re one to be stressed to the max before your wedding… your face is going to show it. Help to act against the annoying dots by going to a local spa and asking for a facial. A facial should include exfoliation, toning, and moisturizing, which is great for any skin type. Facials can be pretty cheap or they can range on the pricey side, so make sure you find a professional you trust. Also, try checking out the place and getting a facial a few months prior to your wedding day so that you know how your face reacts and you aren’t left with a red face at your wedding.

WAXING

Having soft smooth legs and clean eyebrows is one of the enjoyable things about being a girl, the process however is not. Waxing removes hairs from the root which leaves your legs softer, longer, and your eyebrows looking nice. Make sure to exfoliate your body before going in to get waxed, this will open up your pores and make everything easier. Also, make sure to wear sunscreen/SPF to protect the areas that have been waxed. It would be best not to wax on the actual day of your wedding, but rather a week before.

WRAPS AND SCRUBS

If you have never visited a spa before, then you should know that most spas offer services from body wraps to fruit and sugar scrubs. Wraps were created to reduce or lessen the appearance of cellulite and/or make you look slimmer. A scrub on the other hand will give your skin an all over glow. If you aren’t sure what you want or what you should get, call ahead and talk to them and they should help you figure out what your best bet is.

Tip: If you plan on getting a spray tan, make sure that if you choose a scrub to get it before your spray tan, otherwise you will scrub your fresh bronze right off.

YOUR PEARLY WHITES

On your big day you don’t want the white on your dress and the yellow on your teeth clashing. Help to remove stains and whiten before your wedding. You can even do it at home easily with adhesive strips. Or if you want an even better finish and have a little more money tucked away, make an appointment with a professional to get them whitened.

MASSAGE

Massages are one of the most popular forms of stress relief and pain relief. You can get them on any desired location on your body; they’re great for bridesmaid bonding or spending time with your loved one. Getting a massage before your wedding is recommended to help your body feel it’s best as well as your mind.

Tip: Make sure you talk to your professional about the area you’re experiencing pain in so they know where to focus.

THE BEST PART… HAIR AND MAKEUP

Your wedding has come around finally and you’re more than excited. You’ve been planning your makeup look for tonight for years. For your wedding you should look as much like your normal self as possible. Research different styles and ideas and pick one that suits you. Stick to the styles that make you feel most comfortable and match your bridal style. Make sure you do a “test run” before so you know it’s what works.

Tip: You should hire stylists ahead of time and do a practice or trial at least a month prior.

NAILS

Make showing off your new sparkling ring easier with a nice manicure. Although it may not seem like it, choosing a nail color is right up there with your important decisions. Go online and look for ideas and inspiration.

Tip: Make sure to get your nails (and toes) done a day before or even the day of your wedding day, this will ensure they look fresh and nice.

If you plan on having a spa day with the bridesmaids, make sure to call before and make an appointment and they can help you figure out what you want.
