WHAT IS A FOUR HAND MASSAGE?

If you’re an experienced spa-goer you probably already know that there are many different kinds of massages you can get when you go to the spa. Each massage technique is each intended to work on different issues you’re noticing you’re your muscles, but all they all have the same overall goal: to help you relax.

A four handed massage has been confirmed to introduce you to an entirely furthered state of relaxation. So this means your muscles are noticing a deeper movement which helps with giving even more relief to tension. No matter what pain or tension you’re feeling, this massage therapy is highly recommended.

WHAT IS A FOUR HAND MASSAGE?

If you weren’t already sure, a four handed massage is given by two massage experts, that are working at the same time, in beat with each other, giving you the same result as getting two full body massages, at once.

The therapists will use slow and comforting techniques with harder and deeper movements to work on each specific problem while making you totally relaxed. When getting this kind of massage, it’s not uncommon to have other massage techniques used including deep tissue and reflexology.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

While having two sets of hands working on your body, your brain isn’t able to keep up with every motion that’s going on. This means you will be more relaxed because there’s nothing to stress over or think about. This extra relaxation will let your muscles feel all the benefits of the massage.

Usually the therapists will focus the massage around long and slow movements that will create deep relaxation for all over. After, added techniques will be used to work on certain areas with techniques just for that issue. This helps to break down any build up around your muscles which cause pain and inflammation.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?

Since this type of massage is combining different massage techniques, that means more benefits.

  • It eases muscle pain by using an arrangement of pressure point work and deep tissue techniques

  • The concentration of the movements helps blood circulation which breaks down build up

  • It offers your entire body an amazing and enjoyable experience.

FOLLOWING THE MASSAGE

Just like with getting any massage, you should be prepared to feel stiff and tender after. However this will go away after a few days and you will feel more relaxed than you ever have.

However, if you don’t want to wait out the few days of feeling tender, get your muscles warm. You can achieve this by taking a bath or using a heating pack. After you’ve done this, try doing some stretching. This will also help get rid of tenderness.

As with any massage, it’s important that you drink a lot of water and are staying hydrated not only before but after your massage to leave you with the best results.

Since this type of massage engages both parts of your brain, your brain will be more in tune with your body making you feel more relaxed and helping you with decision making and thinking.

All in all, a four handed massage is essentially a Swedish massage; however, you can get this kind of massage many times in a week. But before you decide to get one nearly every day, make sure you discuss it with your therapists before.
